2024 North American League Rankings Taking Shape
Still Lots of Time to Earn Points for Year-End Finals
Annville, PA – May 9, 2024 – Following a busy winter show circuit, the start of the spring season is seeing North American League (NAL) rankings take shape as riders continue to earn points toward the 2024 NAL Finals this fall.
By joining the NAL, riders can accumulate the points necessary to qualify for the West Coast Finals at the International Jumping Festival hosted by Blenheim EquiSports in San Juan Capistrano, CA, September 18-22, and the National Finals which will be held at the Capital Challenge Horse Show, September 26-October 6, at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD.
The NAL qualifying season runs from September 1 through August 31. NAL qualifying classes are open to all competitors, but only current members are awarded points. The NAL offers year-long series in six divisions – Adult Hunter Presented by R & R Hunter Horses, Children’s Hunter Presented by Charles Ancona, 1.10/1.15m Amateur Jumper Presented by SmartPak, 1.10/1.15m Junior Jumper Presented by EquiFit, 1.20/1.25m Junior/Amateur Jumper and 1.30/1.35m Junior/Amateur Jumper Presented by Parlanti. Annual memberships are only $45 per rider.
Through the end of April, the leaders in the six divisions are as follows:
“This is a huge accomplishment for Sarasen and all of us at AMW Stables,” said trainer Annie Walters. “She’s worked so hard to forge a strong partnership with Kingstown, and I’m so happy for her. I’ve been Sarasen’s only riding instructor/trainer and have seen her dedication to the sport while she’s come up the levels from Short Stirrup to the Medium and Large ponies to the Children’s Hunters. I look forward to helping her accomplish all of her goals, including her first appearance at the NAL Year-End Finals at the Capital Challenge Horse Show this fall.”
