Fireworks and Fun at Tryon Summer

Annie Walters and On Point

The AMW Stables team celebrated the Nation’s birthday and many great performances during the Tryon Summer Series, July 3-7 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina. We had a blast trail riding and hanging out in addition to our successes in the show ring.

Brooke Farfone and Knee Deep were on fire during the week. They placed fourth in the USHJA Junior/Amateur National Derby with two superb rounds scoring in the 80s. They also received two fifth-placed ribbons in the 3'6” Performance Hunters (among all the professionals!), were fourth in the Dover/USEF Medal and even played around in the jumper ring earning a second!

Lillian Cain and On Point had stylish rounds, earning scores in the 80s throughout the week to give them great placings in the 3'3” Performance Hunters and the 3'3” Junior Hunters. Trainer Annie Walters also piloted “Sunny” to lovely rounds and ribbons in the Performance section.

Emontros After Party and Annie Walters made his move to the hunter ring in perfect style, earning a second and third in the 2'9” USHJA Hunters out of 20 horses. We’re so excited about “Monty’s” move from the jumper ring!

Likewise, Don Perignon continued his switch to a new ring, going from hunters to jumpers. He continued to impress as he's learning his way around the jumper ring, earning his first blue this week!
