Accomplishments at the Aiken Winter Encore
The AMW Stables team had a great time at the Equus Events Winter Encore, February 1-4, at Bruce's Field in Aiken, South Carolina. It was a little bit chilly but everyone rode great and pushed through with super results!
Caroline Oliverio and Motown continued their winning streak in the Long Stirrup section, earning the championship with two wins over fences among their ribbons They also topped off the show with the blue ribbon in the Long/Short Stirrup Challenge.
Likewise, Sarasen Jablon and Kingstown added another championship to their resume in the Children's Hunter, 14 and under, section. Sarasen also won the THIS Children’s Medal and placed fifth in the Children’s Hunter classic.
Hadley Rodwell and Angelica were reserve champions in the combined Pony Hunter division, won the WIHS Pony Medal and were second in the USEF Pony Medal for a super show.
Lillian Cain and On Point captured the reserve championship in the Children's Hunter, 15-17, section with two blue ribbons and top placings. Lillian also posted a great round in the THIS Children's Medal for second place. Trainer Annie Walters took the reins in the USHJA National Hunter Derby aboard “Sunny” for a top-10 finish.
Lulu Hardie and Quintender made a move to the jumper ring and had some great first rounds in the .80m and.90m jumpers for their first time out.
Brooke Farfone and Knee Deep laid down a fantastic round in the USHJA National Hunter Derby, with a classic round score of 87! They were also fourth and fifth in the Junior Hunters.
In the Adult Amateur Hunter ring, Chelsea Koornick rode Truffle to third in the Ariat Adult Medal with an 80. The pair also had great ribbons in the older Adult Hunters. Christine Jablon and Winston were fourth in the combined Adult Hunter Classic with scores of 80 and 81. They also had good ribbons in the older Adult Hunters and earned a blue ribbon in their Modified class.
Don Perignon made his Baby Green Hunter debut with a first and two seconds So proud of this sweet and smart boy. His future is looking bright!
Over in the jumpers, the Paulson family were impressive. Kristin and Emontros After Party jumped their best rounds yet in the .80m and .90m jumpers getting a blue ribbon everytime. Anders and Balou De Nous jumped to second in the NAL 1.20m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic and placed first and second in their other two classes for the reserve championship.
